How It All Started LiL SpudZ started in the kitchen with a simple idea: sauces should be built on craft, quality, and bold flavor—never artificial fillers or cheap preservatives. After years spent in professional kitchens, mastering flavor profiles, and formulating custom recipes, our founder set out to take small-batch sauces to the next level. What began as a dedicated mission to perfect signature ranches—from our fiery Jalapeño Ranch and herb-packed Dill Ranch to our rich Buttermilk Ranch—quickly expanded into a lineup of custom smoked and specialty sauces like HUB Sauce and Smoke Sauce. Every bottle we make is clean-label, preservative-free, and crafted to deliver restaurant-quality flavor straight to your table. We do one thing, and we do it right: crafting exceptional sauces that elevate every meal.
It started with a potato. Well, a lot of potatoes — and a backyard fryer that got way too much use on weekends. Travis Farris had been tinkering with sauce recipes for years, trying to find something that actually matched the food he loved to cook.
Store-bought sauces were either too bland, too sweet, or just plain forgettable. So he started making his own. Friends kept asking for jars. Family started requesting them for cookouts. Then strangers started asking where they could buy some.
That's when Lil Spudz became real. What started as a hobby turned into a mission: make sauces bold enough to stand up to real food, made with real ingredients, by someone who actually cares what goes on the plate.
